The stainless steel straight strap is a flat-profile, front face-mounted hanger a clean vertical strap with a soft radius on its corners, built from stainless steel for outdoor, coastal, and high-humidity installations. It carries up to 400 lbs per door on the 2 in track.
That radius is worth noting, because the soft corner strap sitting alongside it in this collection is identical in every other respect and turns at a sharp 90 degrees instead. Despite what the names suggest, this is the softer-looking of the two. Capacity, track, finishes, thickness range, and installation are the same on both it's purely which corner you want.
Stainless is a corrosion-resistant alloy the whole way through rather than a coating over steel, which is why it's the only hardware we carry that's rated for exterior use and the only line where rust is covered under the warranty. Every other finish in the lineup is interior-only.
Two reasons to choose it: your installation is outdoors, coastal, or in sustained humidity where powder coat won't last, or you want the raw stainless look for an interior install. Either one on its own is a good enough reason.
It's also the one tier where the mounting fasteners match the hardware stainless bolts with Raw Stainless, powder-coated bolts with Black and Matte Black Texture so nothing on the door face reads as a contrast after install.
Goldberg Brothers, made to order in Littleton, Colorado. 14-21 business day lead time before shipping, longer than the 10-15 days on standard steel because stainless takes more processing. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
If your install is interior and dry, the heavy duty flat top strap carries the same 400 lbs at lower cost and ships sooner. Under 125 lbs with a standard finish, the standard straight strap is the lower-cost option.
