The stainless steel J top mount attaches to the top edge of the door no visible straps on the front face, just the door panel and the track above it. It's the cleanest-looking hanger in the stainless lineup, in a material rated for outdoor, coastal, and high-humidity environments.
Capacity is 100 lbs per door, the same as every stainless top mount. That's a per-hanger rating rather than a limit on the mounting style a third hanger raises it to 150 lbs, ordered through our custom quote page. Above that, the face-mounted stainless kits reach 400 lbs with a visible strap on the door face.
Stainless is a corrosion-resistant alloy the whole way through rather than a coating over steel, so there's no surface layer to breach and it's the only line we carry where rust is covered under the warranty. Every other finish is interior-only.
Against the stainless straight top mount, the only difference is the profile above the door a slight J-curve here, flat there. Capacity, track, finishes, thickness range, and installation are the same.
It's also the one tier where the mounting fasteners match the hardware stainless bolts with Raw Stainless, powder-coated bolts with Black and Matte Black Texture. On a top mount nothing lands on the door face anyway, but the lag bolts on the track face won't read as a contrast either.
Goldberg Brothers only there's no Quick Ship version in the stainless collection. Made to order in Littleton, Colorado, with a 14-21 business day lead time, longer than the 10-15 days on standard steel because stainless takes more processing. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
If your install is interior and dry, the standard duty J top mount gives the same profile and the same 100 lbs at lower cost and ships sooner.
